Great Service

Fantastic rates and excellent customer service

Ecology Building Society savings account were much better than others at the time I was searching (Feb 2021). They have an excellent customer service department that were very helpful and quick when I spoke to them on the phone and email while setting up my account. Great Bank for a changing world.

I have been with a bank since the 80s but whilst it professed to be 'ethical' it wasn't changing with the times. Customers are more aware of the roles the banks & building societies have in the modern world, as people become more ethically & green minded financial institutions need to change & adapt. The Ecology Building Society offers its customers great services & an opportunity to save money knowing their money is not helping to destroy the natural world or rape natural resources. Easy to access, great service, the Ecology offers everything a customer could need without destroying their moral code. Transparent, accessible, participative

I've attended several of their AGMs, lively and convivial with food for thought, they certainly try to involve members. Many stories of home renovation/restoration are shared - often life changing and encouraging sustainable approaches. Ecology Building Society wears their ethics on their sleeves. I personally have savings with them, as well as a charity where i'm treasurer. I have always found them most helpful Reviewed on: 11th March 2021

Perfect squeaky clean credentials

Charming, efficient, courteous, helpful customer service when applying for first account. Feels wonderful and right to be going small and local and ecologically so sound, after being bombarded with pressure to invest by big eco bank. I feel respected and valued again, despite modest savings and only living on a state pension. Reviewed on: 11th March 2021

An intelligent human voice

When ever I have needed to contact Ecology Building Society there has been a prompt human response. I have attended 3 of their AGMs and was impressed by the presentations and atmosphere. They talked about money as a means of helping people and gave examples. I have attended similar events with other banks and was simply drowned in figures and statistics.
