Opening the account is far longer than it should be but once up and running it is really good. If you do need to contact them the calls are answered quickly and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend Reviewed on: 28th March 2016

First Class Service and Hassle Free

I have been with the bank since 1994 and have found them to have an excellent standard of accounts, customer service and online, postal and in bank facilities(using HSBC branches). I even work for HSBC and even though I also have a current account with them (as it was required) I use First Direct for day to day banking and find that their customer service far exceeds that of HSBC even though they are part of the same group.
