Excellent customer service. I have had my main current account with FD for many years and although other banks may offer different/better rewards from time to time, I wouldn’t dream of switching this account. I have rung them at all hours of the day and night over the years and they answer quickly, are always friendly, understand my question straight away and provide a swift answer or fix. Very happy and wouldn’t switch

I have a joint current account with First Direct and have been very happy with it. We initially got a switching offer to open the account but I wouldn’t want to switch away from them now, as the service is so good. The useability of the banking app is very good and it is easy to make transfers by BACs or to scan in any cheques that we receive. One function I like about the app is that you can get it to show only transactions going in or out, which makes it easier to find a specific transaction quickly. We have only had to contact First Direct about questions or issues a couple of times and on both occasions they got back to us quickly using the chat function. My only ask would be that we could earn decent interest on the balance in the account. Reviewed on: 6th December 2024
