First direct is a true online and phone bank, something which makes banking with them so easy. I could even pay a very large amount into another account over the phone! Debit card security has also impressed me: I've been using first direct for more than 10 years and it never got hacked whereas my card with another bank, which I rarely use, has been hacked twice. Account is easy to set up. They claim there's a human assistance over the phone 24/7 if necessary, which I haven't tested. I get on with the app well enough too. Reviewed on: 4th April 2023
