Every time I try to contact First Direct, I alway get through with minimal rings and a cheery helpful person on the other end. That person firstly listens to what I am trying to ask, clarifies it and then proceeds to answer in the most easy to understand way. This is true for all my 1st account queries. One of the First to take the plunge

I have been with FD almost from the start, I have never had a problem with running my accounts. FD have always lead the way from telephone banking to introducing Apps with AI technology so I always feel my money is safe. Reviewed on: 9th March 2023

Honestly a really good bank

After being with another bank for about 10 years and never being satisfied, I switched to First Direct last year and have been genuinely surprised with everything since. The mobile app is really well built and easy to understand and it’s made my so much better at managing my money. Been with First Direct for few years after leaving another bank whose staff just didn't seem to care when things don't always go right. I have found First Direct Bank staff when I've spoken to them to be caring considerate and willing to help. Reviewed on: 9th March 2023

Regular saver is great

I specifically opened the account for the 7% regular saver which I’m happy to have during the cost of living crisis. The account seems ok although I wish the app had push notifications for when money comes in/leaves the account as I find I have to check it a lot to see what my balance is. It’s a shame that you also can’t put notes on it like on Monzo to remind you what a purchase was. There is a tag function but it isn’t much help. Reviewed on: 9th March 2023
