Simple but effective

The first direct 1st Account is a solid, stable and reliable bank account from a company which many will not recognise, but which is very firmly rooted in our minds, as a child company of HSBC - one of Britain's finest financial triumphs. Reviewed on: 7th February 2023

Great customer service

I've banked with first direct for 26 years and in that time their service has been excellent. I believe that they still provide a great service and even though I readily change financial services products I have no intention of moving my main bank accounts away from them. Brilliant account!

Great communication, never has any issues, but when I've had to ring no long waits on the phone. The people who work in customer service are friendly and easy to speak to, not getting passed from one department to another.
