Review of the Geoffrey Insurance, Car insurance:

Absolutely disgusted Unprofessional

Absolutely disgusted. I had an email and text from this company saying that I owe them this months payment for my car insurance plus at £20.00 fee due to the return direct debit. I told them two weeks from today's date to change my banking details which I assumed she did over the phone. Spoken to someone on the live chat box on the website and a lady named Julie was rude beyond words. So I stopped the chat and copied and pasted it for safe keeping and rang them up instead. this other useless foul mouthed woman the situation and she comes back and tells me that there is nothing mentioned on there system to say that I rang up. So basically I was called a liar twice, Once from Julie in live chat and this woman on the phone. She said that she will speak to her manager and see if they can wave the £20.00 yet to come back and said that her manager will not allow to wave the fee. I said it is not my fault your staff cannot do there job right. She kept on saying we need your monthly payment and the late payment fee or your insurance will be cancelled. I then continued saying, it was not my fault and all she was doing was over talking without allowing me to speak so I did the same and said, cancel my insurance, then she said, for me to cancel your insurance we need full payment and the 20.00 direct debit which came back and plus they will charge me £60.00 plus to cancel the insurance. First of all she said that if I do not pay the whole lot it will be cancelled, then she says they cant cancel it unless I pay for the monthly instalment and the late payment fee, work that one out. So thick it's unreal. So I continued to say, cancel my insurance and she kept saying we can't cancel your insurance bla bla bla. She would not let me talk and all she could so was over talking on top of me. This is not how you treat customers and all my years of having car insurance which is 28 years now, I have never came across such disgusting car insurance in my entire driving career. I would stay away and I will also contact trading standards which I have recorded the chat and copied the chat also I had with this so called Julie on there website chat box. Great Company, great price...

I had never heard of Geoffrey Insurance, but found them through a comparison site. I telephoned to talk about my online quote...they were friendly, efficient & helpful.....the price was great too. A company that values their loyal customers

I have been with Geoffrey from when they were known as Chaucer Direct. Their quotes cannot be bettered and unlike many companies, I get quoted an excellent renewal price each year without out the need to haggle the price lower. In fact, last year, I paid less than the previous year. Additionally, their renewal quote comes via an email with a personalised video providing me with full details of the insurance cover together with the price. Customer service as it should be.

Having had Car insurance for 45 years I have first hand knowledge and experience of both good and sometimes "Diabolical" customer service, so I can honestly say it is so refreshing to get really great service. That is what I have had each and every time I have contacted Geoffrey insurance. No long queues on the phone or working though numerous automated menues, just friendly, helpfull and very knowledgeable Staff who always go the extra mile to ensure everything I require is delt with and explained clearly and competitive premiums that make me smile. I am pleased to and would not hesitate to recommend Geoffrey Insurance to anyone who values good old fashioned customer service in this modern age. Keep doing what you do and thank you for making me feel like a VIP. My very best regards to all the staff I have had the pleasure of speaking to over the past 2 years.
