'Computer says NO"

Go Girl Insurance, or should I say ‘the computer says NO’ company!? I had my first years renewal quote through of £383.90. My policy expired at midnight and therefore I called (the Sunday morning) to renew my policy but was told that it now my policy had expired (11hrs ago) I had to apply for a quote again but could only do this online, so I did. The new quote was now £655.60 WOW a massive £271.70 increase. I phone customer service to see if they could help with the cost but was told the system didn’t allow this ‘computer says NO” and I would have to pay £655.60. No where in the renewal email did it state that the quote would expire once the policy ran out and this wa the very next morning but I was told by customer services at Go Girl (‘computer says NO’) that ‘this was obvious’… not to me it wasn’t. I now face paying an extra £271.70 for renewing my policy or starting a new policy 11hrs after it expired…RIP OFF!!! Anyway they did me a HUGE favour as I went to Sheilas wheels and got cover for £257.53, massive £398.07 cheaper for the year. So thanks GOGIRL (‘computer says NO”) for being so UNHELPFUL and so INSULTING during our dealings with each other…NEVER AGAIN. My advice DO NOT USE GO GIRL INSURANCE! Reviewed on: 12th March 2017

50-60 years of potential custom lost over £52 admin fee.

It’s a shame I could not get an answer or help via the phone for hours to update my details or am unable to amend my current docs online. I was sat waiting to be connected to a representative for ages as I need to make a change to my policy. It was taken out only Monday night (2nd Jan). My daughter (new driver) has roughly 50-60 years of driving ahead of her and will require an insurer to cover her for this. For the sake of £52.00 admin fee to amend a document you lost this customer! 50 odd years of insurance cover is rather a lot of money to lose over a quick £52 gain. Your customer service has been somewhat dire! Happily paid the £48.00 fee to cancel. The driver and I WILL be informing all her 17–18-year-old friends who are currently in the process of getting licences and everyone else we feel needs to know about your ridiculous fees. Took out car insurance for my daughter but cancelled within half an hour of doing so as I realised the policy was not sufficient. Website sated there is a 14 day colling off period and the policy was not due to start for another 6 days. They eventually refunded me some of the money but "kept £45.00 as a cancellation fee. Now having to take legal action to try and get this back. Reviewed on: 13th September 2022

Really helpful and fast service

My car was written off 2 years ago and I was covered by go girl. They offered a cheaper premium than anyone else and we’re extremely helpful with my claim. It was dealt with quickly and after I was informed my car would be written off I received the money quickly too, the amount was much more than I had expected. Reviewed on: 13th August 2022

Avoid they try anything to up an already expensive premium if you need to change any details. Daughter student and when said she finished college tried up the insurance baring mind she is only a named driver on a policy with policy holder with full no claims another 1000 avoid. poor customer service and ripping off young drivers

They called up to request a further 74.28 including a 24 pound admin fee because we forgot about a windscreen claim on her car. As far as i could see there is NO mention of the windscreen being a reportable claim. Such a ripoff company, as soon as the insurance is over we will NEVER use them again and i will inform as many people on my social media as i can not to use them. Disappointed to say the least. Hidden costs and poor service

appalling service

Truly poor service cant get through, waiting 30- 40 mins just to ask a question. they are owned by sabre insurance, they are as bad. avoid if you can. Reviewed on: 25th April 2022
