help in my time of need

i had recently changed my bank over from NatWest to Halifax. upon opening my account with Halifax and changing all my direct debits over there was some confusion between getting paid, when checking about getting paid quickly realised that there had been some miss understanding and my money had not gone into my bank. i went into Halifax in tonbridge in Kent and they where fantastic. not only did they help me to understand what had gone wrong. but they also lent me the money and when the money owed came into my bank they would take it back out. having a young child too and needing shopping they where amazing. thank you halifax Reviewed on: 16th February 2016

Excellent in every way

I was recently scammed on line and the scammers attemlted to take a large sum of money from my current account. Halifax security immediately blocked the transaction and contacted me. The only damage done was having to be issued with a new bank card. I can't thank the Halifax enough nor the kind emplyee who contacted me from their fraud department. A decent bank. Telephone service is poor.

I do telephone banking. It’s one cockup after another with Halifax Bank. I have to attend at the branch often to sort out problems, I don’t do online banking. I think their actions are a deliberate ploy to force me to change to IB. Reviewed on: 5th July 2023

Generally ok but staff & complaints are rubbish

Staff on their messaging service keep closing chats immediately (despite taking hours to reply), don't answer the question and then my complaint still hasn't been dealt with - it was a relatively simple matter so I'm not sure why 1: the initial 3 staff members couldn't resolve it or 2: complaints couldn't sort it out already. Phone service is not good, long hold times so gave up on trying to use that. Reviewed on: 17th June 2023

Freud team alfull

My ex Abusive partner stolen over £2000 out my account halifax new how Vulnerable I was and I put in a claim to get the money back halifax refused to pay the money that was stolen I reported it to action freud also halifax Decline my claim so now I've losed £2000 pounds by my Abusive partner Reviewed on: 16th June 2023
