Great account

Great current account giving £5 reward each month plus cash back to be earnt using your debit card in certain stores. Very helpful in branch when setting up the account talking us through everything really well, can't fault them so far. Reviewed on: 28th March 2016

Online banking made easy

I do all my banking, pay my bills and manage my money at the tip of my fingers. I can transfer money vetween account, see payments due out between now and payday, set up budgets, even see my credit score. I wouldn't be able to manage without it! Reviewed on: 9th March 2023

Wonderful bank, friendly, kind, understanding staff.

Brilliant banking experience

I can’t fault Halifax at all I’ve been with them over ten years and had previously banked with 2 different high street banks which where average but Halifax have time and again went above and beyond for my needs wether it be finding extra currency for my holidays short notice that I forgot to order in or helping with queries I had about online charges from companies I didn’t recognise and there staff are very friendly and well informed Reviewed on: 9th March 2023

Reliable but poor (non-existant) returns.

A reliable account paying no interest, which is why I only leave minimal money in it to pay bills etc. Use on-line banking with it but do need to call in branch fairly regular, especially if needing to pay in. However local branch now closes at 3pm, whereas before covid it was 5pm. If they end up closing my local branch I may transfer to another bank. Reviewed on: 9th March 2023

Why bank with anyone else?!

I switched from another high street bank to Halifax over 7 years ago and have never looked back. Their security measures have helped alert me to suspicious activity and returned my money to me without any issues. The access and ability to stay on top of my money and be in control of my account has improved over time with a finely tuned digital app. I have also been able to get help via the app with actual people and as someone who doesn't always have time to call, I rate this highly! When there was an issue with my account from in the past, Halifax investigated and upheld my complaint as well as compensating me immediately upon issuing their final response by phone.
