Satisfied

I've been a customer with the halifax for more years than I care to remember, in that time I have experienced both side of their customer service from the shockingly bad to they couldn't have been more helpful. Most of the bad service I've had has been over the phone, they clearly don't care about what ever you've phoned up about where as the counter staff in the branches do every thing in their power to sort out any problems you might have. Many go above and beyond to sort things out for you. On the whole I have been satisfied with the customer service I have received from this bank. I have a current account, credit card, savings account, e-saver account. Reviewed on: 27th April 2015

Closure of my Accounts

I lost an account that have opened for almost a decade because of a review they refused to share with me till date. I tried to get help from different organisations like financial ombudsman and no reasonable response. Reviewed on: 14th June 2025

Online banking easy to use.

Appalling - vote with your money and leave

With Halifax over 30 years. First 20 were were very good - mortgage, current account, credit cards, etc. Last 10 years appalling customer service. They have down spec'd the customer service.. they stop every 2 out of 5 payments so you have to spend 20 minutes every 2 weekson phone to them proving who you are to access your own money; then they do it again! and again! Avoid like the plague as the customer comes last with Halifax. Reviewed on: 24th May 2025
