Moving my Mortgage, Personal and Business Accounts

I have decided to move my Mortgage, Personal and Business Accounts from Halifax after 27 years as I will not do business with a company that promotes an ideology that pretends to be inclusive, but is designed to coerce its staff and customers. The promotion of displaying pronouns was illiberal enough, but the Halifax Twitter feed insulting customers and telling them to quit the bank demonstrates that Halifax's judgement cannot be trusted. Closure of my Accounts

Appalling - vote with your money and leave

With Halifax over 30 years. First 20 were were very good - mortgage, current account, credit cards, etc. Last 10 years appalling customer service. They have down spec'd the customer service.. they stop every 2 out of 5 payments so you have to spend 20 minutes every 2 weekson phone to them proving who you are to access your own money; then they do it again! and again! Avoid like the plague as the customer comes last with Halifax. Reviewed on: 24th May 2025
