Elitist Building Society Only for the Super-rich

I can understand a building society foreclosing on an unpaid mortgage, but FORECLOSING ON A SAVINGS ACCOUNT??? I had a savings account at the Hanley for about 30 years and regularly saved there, not least as my ancestors are the ones who virtually built the town, up from a tiny village and my family have a long history with Hanley. Then, one day, I get a blunt letter from them saying that they are closing my savings account and that I can't even complain as it is a "business decision" . A few days later, a cheque arrived in the mail from them for the value of my savings that I had there. Apparently, they are now so stacked up with cash from the Government that they don't want small savers or poor people on their membership rolls any more so they are covertly kicking them off. Where are those who are not multimillionaires supposed to cash their salary cheques now? Nice to know all our tax money is going to help to grind down the poor and working class families with the Hanley's strutting arrogance. Reviewed on: 9th February 2019
