Friendly helpful staff

My application for a fixed rate bond was dealt with quickly and efficiently. There was an issue about ID but a phone call with friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff sorted it out without any fuss. Reviewed on: 25th September 2019

Unsatisfactory

I paid in a bank cheque from Santander which took a week to clear. Bank cheques were always totally trustworthy and should have been accepted immediataly Reviewed on: 18th August 2023

In the mean time I can assure you interest is paid from the day after the cheque is deposited with us and then you are able to withdraw funds from the start of the sixth business day (cheque clearance period). Young Saver Account

I have visited Hinckley and Rugby Building Society in Lutterworth twice recently. Some of my children had savings accounts at the building society and because the interest rates are so competitive I chose to close their Nationwide accounts and move the money to Hinckley and Rugby. I have been so pleasantly surprised by the warm, friendly atmosphere in the branch and found them so helpful in opening an additional account for my 3 year old and mentioning competitive bonds too. I was lucky enough to visit on an open day and enjoyed cake and balloons plus a chat with the CEO who appeared to have a genuine interest in providing a service to the community. Well done Hinckley and Rugby, in an age where banks are all about profit and lack of customer service you have demonstrating there are still community focussed banking options out there.
