HSBC Kinetic is a revelation to someone who is basically a techno phobe. whenever i use HSBC KInetic i am amazed at the speed and simplicity of using it. it alerts you immediately a credit is made into the account; the same applies to any debit. great app, highly recommended. Everything I need in one Place

After looking through varies banks to open a business account I decided to go with HSBC Kinetic because of their superior online banking. Everything is on the mobile banking app and it just works. What modern business banking should be like!

When I formed my business, I was referred to several high street banks. One told me they could schedule an appointment with their business banking team in 6 weeks. I declined and used Kinetic instead. I had an account opened a few hours later. Within 6 weeks I have completed my first project and already received funds. I have used Kintec for over a year. Still really happy. On the 1 or 2 support questions I have had, I asked via the in-app chat capability and they were answered very quickly. Excellent Business Banking service and app! Amazing experience from the very first day, it is great to use. Extremely user friendly, so easy to understand. I know alot of people are unsure about moving to the online banking platform but the level of simplicity is unreal. Highly recommended for business’s. I have never been more satisfied with a bank while making an account with them. I made an account with KSBC Kinetic for my new business, and am currently considering switching my personal current account over to KSBC as well! Reviewed on: 7th March 2023

Over complicated with no support

The bank gets money in and money out, but if you have an issue don’t expect any help fast, kinetic has its own customs services which is always “experiencing high levels of calls” and if you even do get through you need to speak to the internet team, or the telephone team you have to start again. Even worse if you forget your telephone banking details you’ll have to reset it and send in some magical mandate for to unlock it even though I still have access to the app and my account they won’t let me verify anything. App just lists all transactions No searchables so makes it a wee bit difficult when you have to go back to Double check payments received, and to go back several months you have to scroll. I had only used the app and had never used the mobile browser version so I made a mistake with my passcodes I tried to reset it it and mistakenly reset my mobile passcodes too and had no acces. I actually wanted to switched to hsbc from virgin because it was a free account . I called and was left on hold for over 1hr 45 minutes only to be cut off. I called again and at the same time I used my landline to call virgin money they answered within 2 minutes and approved my application for a new free business account within 10 minutes. Just gave up with hsbc. Everything is still locked i did email hsbc but the response I received seemed generic and asked me to send in mandate to do this, i need to send a signed letter in for that. Wish I’d never even started. If i could offer anyone advice id say stay away from hsbc and go for one who claims dosent claim to be global and will help on a telephone? Reviewed on: 7th March 2023

OK- but could be better

Having a mobile app is a real positive. The charges for paying in cheques is a pain as is the fact that they won't let you pay in cheques more that £500 digitally. Not Really "free" banking and once the 12 months is up the charges are similar to high street banks. Reviewed on: 7th March 2023
