Very helpful staff who go out of their way to help you (Kendal branch).

I travel a lot for work and I've often run into problems that HSBC has helped me out with. I once had my debit card stolen and it was difficult to get a replacement while I was abroad. However, the helpful staff at Kendal branch enabled me to get a new card promptly, and they also suggested making my mother a signatory to my account so that she can authorise such processes in the future should a similar situation arise. Student Account

I have had a wonderful experience with HSBC’s student account. The interest free overdraft of £1000 has allowed me to get on as a student with financial peace of mind. The student credit card is good too. Online banking is excellent, and the mobile app is fabulous. Reviewed on: 17th January 2019

Branch closures!

Great bank account with excellent customer service

I've been with HSBC for over 20 years and I can not fault the service provided at all. My current bank account is easy to use and I am very happy, I've also had a loan and our mortgage is with them. When I was a victim of fraud a couple of years ago HSBC alerted me before I even knew about it (someone had cloned my card and was using it in America) HSBC carried out a full investigation quickly and refunded me the missing money straight away. Excellent account with great app

HSBC Advance current account fulfils all my regular needs, handles my direct debits and standing orders, and gives me multi channel access to services, as well as polite and knowledgeable staff on hand in branch, online and on call Reviewed on: 13th January 2019

Great Customer Focused Bank

The application process was completely online, user friendly and only took 5 minutes. My account was approved within 24 hours and I received my Debit Card and online banking instructions within 3 working days. It is a bit tedious registering for online banking with all the security protocols etc but I received great help from members in the Customer Service team. Reviewed on: 12th January 2019
