Leek Building Society - excellent!

I have been a Leek (United) Building Society customer for many years. In all my dealings regarding mortgages, insurance products and savings I have always found them excellent to deal with. The branch network is a real strength of the society. Admittedly they may not always have the cheapest mortgage rates or best saving rates but they make up for that with a consistent approach to customer service. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone - particularly young adults who can get the saving habit started with a great partner. Reviewed on: 24th January 2024

It was so easy doing business and the products were very competitive. They made everything easy and had excellent knowledge on all the products and services. Bright and warm environment and very friendly staff that made the experience more personal. It's nice to be able to easily speak to someone face to face. Well done guys! We set up a fixed rate saving account to supplement...

We set up a fixed rate saving account to supplement our pensions. Mostly dealt with online which was fairly straightforward but it was great to speak to somebody quickly over the phone just to clarify a couple of things. I was very impressed with both the speed of reply, only rang for a few seconds before getting to speak to a human being, amazing, (you get used to waiting on the phone for ages these days and then having to listen to a recorded message). We were also impressed with the level of knowledge of the person we spoke to. She immediately knew what I was asking about and was able resolve our small issue. All in all a very positive experience.
