A really palatable alternative to big banks.

Now money comes quickly into my account. Useful to save. The loan/save facility is really good for helping manage finances. It’s great to know that members, not rich bankers, are the beneficiaries. Reviewed on: 3rd June 2025

I’ve been a member of Credit Union for years, and I can confidently say that their savings and loan schemes are truly outstanding. This has allowed my savings to grow more quickly and securely, thanks to their consistent and transparent interest calculations. Their loan offerings are equally impressive. The credit union provides very favorable interest rates on personal loans, auto loans, and mortgages, often lower than those available at commercial banks. A community-based way to effectively save money

I've been saving with LCCU for about a decade and they are an excellent way to save money in a community-based, worker/member-owned project. They offer a wide range of options, loans, and tools to ensure you save money and minimise debt. Their interest rates are higher than my bank's ISA, too. Highly recommended.
