Allowed me to see where I truly was

I’m 25, and due to family issues, have been entangled in a web of disastrous consumer credit debt which took a massive hold on my mental health leading to not only becoming a complete different person I didn’t recognised but also a person I didn’t recognise who was in debt and no longer saw the joy in anything. I applied to the credit union many times, but when I actually sat down and took everything seriously, realised I needed to be organised and accurate, I eventually was able to get a loan that started the trend of saving. Essentially, the union helped me understand where I was, without all the emotions. At 25, it’s embarassing to be here, but they gave me a chance and took me out of a troublesome period of time when I needed it most and everyone else wrote me off. It isn’t life changing money, but it’s enough to start fresh, and build a savings pot. Let’s see where life takes me. Reviewed on: 25th May 2025

It's been easy to understand and when I spoke to one...

It's been easy to understand and when I spoke to one of your colleagues on the phone when they did a routine call around to see how setting up the account was and to ask about savings, they were able to clearly explain anything I didn't understand. They didn't force me into anything, nor try and sell anything, but instead went through the pros and cons of doing savings and put my mind at ease Reviewed on: 14th July 2025

London Capital Credit Union has been a real support in my life. It’s helped me build good saving habits by letting me put part of my salary aside automatically. I like their ethical approach to lending, no pressure to borrow, but solid help if you really need it. They’re quick, clear, and always helpful.
