M&S home insurance offers cover for building and contents together or you can buy them separately. If you make a claim under both buildings and contents, you’ll only pay one excess. There are no charges to spread the cost of your policy by Direct Debit.

Near fell over seeing what they quoted myself. ~£1,600 for premium insurance! That’s just plain and simple taking the ****! Why don’t you ask for my kids savings as well. Shame on you for trying that with customers! Reviewed on: 24th October 2023

Good excess, helped when my phone was stolen

I had my phone stolen from my person two years ago when I was mugged. I rang my home insurance providers (Marks and Spencer) who were immediately very helpful and gave me an estimated time that it would take to either; 1. get a new phone or; 2. receive the money equivalent into my account. The staff were friendly and talked me through the procedures I would have to go through with the police/crime reference numbers etc., and overall it was a pleasant and very swift claim.
