Extremely slow at reaching a resolution to claims

I submitted a small claim at the beginning of June and by the end of July I have still heard nothing from Many Pets, despite several attempts at chasing. Even trying to talk to someone on the phone has proved extremely challenging and it can take over 30 mins for the phone to be answered. Their website is slick and their emails are helpful, but that looks to be cover for a badly run company. Extremely disappointed. Reviewed on: 24th July 2023

Fabulous product

Nearly completed the second year of cover with Many Pets. I have made a total of three claims, one for a broken hind leg, and all have been dealt with in a positive and business like manner. I cannot fault this company and will certainly want to renew with them later this year. Very good value for money and excellent level of cover. Reviewed on: 14th July 2023

Take forever to pay

Have made many claims, most of which have taken almost 3 months from claim date to payment. If you lodge a complaint, the complaint process takes up to 8 weeks. Incompetent admin, untrained staff querying non relevant issues. Emails sent to wrong vets, no replies to any questions raised to them. Long queue to get through on phone. Managers pass your query back to the admin you complained about. You go round in circles, get no where and end up dizzy! Reviewed on: 7th July 2023

First Class Cover

Have almost completed two years with cover for our two year old Border Terrier. The level of cover is outstanding and the terms and conditions very favourable to the customer. I have had need to claim on a few occasions and the claims are dealt with swiftly and efficiently. The price of the premiums is very fair and offers excellent value for money. I just hope Many Pets continues to offer such good value for money in these tough financial times. This is the best pet insurance I have had in over 17 years of covering our dogs. I took this insurance for my 4 dogs and its costs £110 a month I took my GSD to the vet she had strained her groin but the vet said he could end examen her as she was too giddy but on her records hip dysplasia prescribed anti-inflammatory meds after taking my dog back saying it isn't getting any better but getting the same medicine then the vet says they would have to xray to find out what's wrong so i use all months pension to pay them £600 as insurance wouldn't pay before and vets said they wanted cash before they would do the xrays so after the xrays the vet seid worse case of hip displasa he had ever seen and only thing he could do is steroid injections £170 this month and insurance tured claim down but paid out last month same thing and took £69 access first would touch the manypets aka bourgtbymeny no wonder they rebranded iv reported bthem rubbish. I made a claim.on the 10th January. Still no money. They lied about contacting my vet (they hadn't) and have ignored emails, don't answer the phone. It's dreadful. I honestly don't know how they are getting awards...clearly those doing the awards don't read the reviews and have never insured a pet with them. Reviewed on: 30th March 2023

Great Slogan rubbish service

I have seen many adverts for this Company stating the care for your pets, put ultimately they prioritize there profits first. I have never known a Pet Insurance Company to drag out claims for so long and make the process so difficult. It should not be Many Pets but Many Profits. Reviewed on: 22nd December 2022

My first insurance company for my dog and defo the last one. Took them 7 months to review claim and refused to pay. My dog had fever and I paid in cash almost 2k for few visits, 2k for fever ,JOKE I will look for legal action ,they will not get away with it claim number 57419004 Reviewed on: 22nd December 2022

Hassle free and quick

When we lost our cat during surgery a few weeks ago I was worried about claiming and the process being difficult. I was very wrong, within days of receiving the claim it was all paid, my monthly payment adjusted and a condolences note through the post. In such a horrible time I couldn't fault the service at all. PET PLAN IS A SCAM

Pet Plan is an Absolute SCAM. You’re premium goes up every year excessively in jumps like £15 to £20. Started off at £35 and eight years later is £105 . They cover absolutely nothing . The £780 dental work was considered cosmetic and not covered . I have stopped the insurance now as the first time I make a claim because my dog got sick, nothing was covered because I had to pay 20% excess deductible which was the cost of the visit and so Pet Plan wiggled their way out of paying anything. I paid and they didn’t . I cannot for the life of me understand why I have been paying thousands of pounds over the years and nothing nothing nothing was ever covered under their terms . Pet Plan are a scum insurance . Put your money in a bank account for your pet and pay for things this way . Note I was paying £105 per month for a £4000 coverage Do you know that a simple scan and test was priced at £8000 so even if you have pet insurance your £4000 doesn’t even get you a test result let alone any treatment . And your excess on a £4000 claim will be £800 . So the actual coverage is only £3200. Meanwhile in four years you could have £5000 in your pets bank account and in 8 years over £10,000 saved for treatment . I massively regret paying into Pet Plan all these years . They only care about making money and not you pet. Reviewed on: 21st November 2022
