Truly cares about customers and service

I went to Metro Bank to enquire about business banking after visiting my own international high street bank and two other "famous names", where I waited for some time for advice and was not even acknowledged by staff who were too busy talking to each other. The service was markedly different. I was greeted at the door, offered a seat and a coffee while I waited, and then a member of staff took time to get to know me and my aspirations, talked through options and patiently answered questions. Since then, whenever I have needed them, the customer service telephone help has been courteous, interested and has taken the time to really resolve the issue in one call. Visits to the branch have been similar to the first one, implying this is a standard and was not a one-off. In addition, they have a commitment to community, both creating online interest for all customers (like their Christmas Party) and sponsoring/ holding local business events. It feels like Metro Bank genuinely care about the customer, which - now we have so much choice - will be a defining factor in how all industries will survive in our new future. I would have no hesitation in recommending them, and indeed already have to a number of counterparts looking for a better banking solution. Reviewed on: 26th March 2021

Most horrible disgusting Customer Service from Metro Bank

One extremely happy customer!

Following a move from RBS a few years I find Metro Bank a wonderfully refreshing way of banking. Everything online is very easy (my main and currently only source of banking), bright and pleasant to use. It's no longer a chore to do online banking. Thanks Metro Bank! Reviewed on: 26th March 2021

Opening hours

I mainly joined Metro bank for my business banking because of the extended opening hours compared with other banks. The actual bank also has fresh & attractive look. Unfortunately due to the pandemic and subsequent change in opening hours which are less than half of the original opening hours when I joined Metro Bank in 2017 I am less happy at the moment. I have been fortunate and have been able to mostly rebuild my business so I now work 9 til 5 most week days. I am also fortunate that I've been able to purchase a Sum-up machine to enable me to now take at least half of my payments. I although I understand the dilemma for staff at Metro so far as providing a service and keeping themselves safe against Covid-19 I just wanted to let you know that at the moment I find the opening hours to be too short for my needs. I am sure that I'm not the only customer who has this problem but just wanted to highlight this issue. Thank you and I look forward to near normal opening hours returning to make this, once more, a truly accessible and happy bank. Reviewed on: 26th March 2021
