Very Responsive Bank

Easy to operate account with responsive staff both in person and in branch, especially during Covid. They have the best access for in branch visits of the banks that I can see and are open longer to serve their customers Reviewed on: 9th March 2021

Follow up to a bad situation

I was a bit frantic as the fraud department had cancelled my debit card and said I needed to go to my branch for a new one. I now live in Cornwall so less then convenient...I was also expecting a payment to my account in a couple days that was very important. I managed to divert the payment to my partners account but was clearly upset. A few days later I received a call from one of Metro's staff unexpectedly and everything was resolved....a new card was posted to me and the £30 I was scammed was put back in my account. This return of funds was beyond their duty and I thought was a nice touch. Reviewed on: 9th March 2021

The People's Bank

I like the way Metro operates with a high street bank facility that is in normal times open 7 days a week and late in the evening. The bank feels like its works around its customers not the other way around. Its always easy to speak to a staff member directly without a pre-booked appointment which some banks now insist on. Great customer service in the branch. Easy to use website too but I like that fact the branch is easy accessible and considered an important part of banking when so many banks are moving away from the high street.
