Dying scum

My son is half-Ukrainian (not a refugee) and we moved back to the UK before the war. I thought I'd try Metro and get him his first current account Every few months, I still take my son to see his mum in St Petersburg. Recently, I simply logged in to my account from Russia and immediately received some very dodgy emails from Metro Bank that turned out to be genuine. The emails claimed the LNR and the DNR were separate countries. I explained this to them but they never replied. Anyway, my account was blocked and on my return, I was asked to provide supporting documentation about my other accounts and even about my wife. None of it helped, they just closed all our accounts without any explanation. All because I'd simply logged on from Russia. From then, it's been months of emails back and forth trying to simply get my money back. Every time I ask what else they require, it takes days and days for them to reply. Just avoid, the service is dreadful and the way we have been treated is disgusting. I can't imagine Metro bank will still be around 5 years from now. If it is, God help us all. My Honest Review Since I open my account with Metro Bank the service has been great to me up until now. The costumer service is nice. It is done with Friendliness, Humility, and politeness. They have excellent customer service

We are North London Women's Group charity. We used to bank with Barclays bank before but we were unfairly treated when they closed our without a proper notice. It was difficult to open another account with another bank immediately. As a result we missed some funding as we were not able to provide details for funders to us. It was a huge relief when Metro accepted to open an account for us. Thank for the way all was done quickly. Reviewed on: 5th April 2023

Best bank ever

Staff are friendly, water and biscuits for my dog, Lollipops for my neice and nephew, They even have toilets that are clean which is great for my dad as he has prostate cancer. PLUS they are open 7 days a week and they close late too. The only downside is sometimes the queues are long. Reviewed on: 5th April 2023

Simple, secure and always available

Banking with Metro Bank has been very easy, the app is easy to use and the online banking provide simple to understand processes, paying feels secure and so far so, everything has been great! Provided their branches are opened at weekends which means it is convenient for people who works during the weekdays to be able to visit the branches and not having to take annual leaves to do banking at the branches.
