Friendly customer service

I joined in December with metro Bank because I wasn't happy with my previous bank I had been with for years. Opened an account online as it was the better option in amongst this lockdown. The process was easy and overall took me 35mins after having to wait for metro Bank to verify my ID. Got my debit card within a couple days and once the pin code arrived a day later. activating the card was simple and was pleased to be able to talk to a UK call handler they were friendly and professional and easy to understand. It's been 3 months now and I'm still happy I changed to metro Bank. Reviewed on: 17th March 2021

Brilliant service

It was an extremely easy process to set up my account and I had my bank card in my hand within 45 minutes. That was brilliant. Also a nice touch was the bank manager introducing himself at the end before I left the bank. Really nice touch. Reviewed on: 17th March 2021

Great user-friendly bank but wish could pay cheques on mobile banking

Great to be able to contact the bank out of standard hours, friendly greeting whenever in branch and easy to use app. Only thing letting the banking app down is being unable to pay in cheques unlike other banks. I understand this is being worked on but when people are trying not to leave the house this would have been good to get pushed through quicker. Reviewed on: 17th March 2021

Great banking experience

Love Metro Bank, I've never had a bad experience with them. When I was younger I greatly enjoyed the schemes to make the banks more kid and dog friendly - free lollipops, dog treats, pens, M shaped money box, and best of all the coin counting machines! I would recommend anyone 21 or under to get a Young Savers account, which has a great interest rate (although they have made it less generous recently!) I was also able to get my first credit card with Metro bank and it was very easy, while other places declined me for having no credit history. Every time I've visited a store the staff have been very friendly and helpful. Reviewed on: 17th March 2021
