Does the job perfectly

I'm a self-employed driving instructor and Mettle does the job perfectly for my needs - a business bank account that was simple to set up and doesn't charge fees. The included access to and integration with the FreeAgent accounting software makes the whole process of generating invoices and receiving payments really quick and easy. Reviewed on: 19th March 2026

My accountant recommended Mettle and it is fab. Free business account and financial software is amazing and so useful for a small business. I was previously using Monzo, which I still love, so a few more functions and insights like they provide would make it top notch! Reviewed on: 19th March 2026

Gives Interest on account balance.

Gives Interest on account balance. The app and system are super dependable. The big winner is that the Mettle Business Account gives Interest on the Balance ( in a Savings pot ). This is the only Business Account to do so in my 25 years as a sole trader. This gives a few £100s a year for free. Reviewed on: 19th March 2026

I have been using Mettle since the beginning. It has always been a brilliant service that does everything you would expect. The fact it also allows me to use FreeAgent for all of my accounting is a massive plus. As a Freelancer it’s great to have a bank that feels like its tailored towards me! Reviewed on: 19th March 2026
