Extremely well thought out app and therefore a doddle to use. Excellent customer service when required. Swift response time to queries and friendly knowledgeable staff. I am a new and small business owner and I have found Mettle to be fantastic. I particularly love the 'Pots' payment system which allows payments in to be automatically cordoned off for tax and savings, as well as being able to easily categorise payments out. I have found the customer service to be excellent too. I have recommended Mettle to many friends who run small businesses too. Reviewed on: 18th March 2025

Mettle has been a game-changer for me as a sole trader. The account is incredibly easy to use, with a neat and uncluttered app that makes managing finances hassle-free. I also appreciate the web access, which adds convenience when working from my laptop. One of the biggest advantages is that there are no hidden costs—it's truly affordable and transparent. Plus, the fact that FreeAgent accounting software is free for Mettle customers is a huge bonus. It simplifies bookkeeping and saves money on accounting software!
