Monzo offer a free bank account for under 16s, with controls set by their parent or guardian.

Kids get their own neon card and can see their money in the Monzo app. Parents or Guardians can keep an eye on the account, set spending limits and schedule pocket money.

I absolutely love this Bank, so much so I got my children and family onto it. The referral thing doesn't seem to work so well but we're all really impressed with the extra mile and perks Monzo do and go to on their accounts.Weekly sweet treats aren't a bad ittle gifty either lol Reviewed on: 9th March 2026

I love everything about monzo!

I’ve been with Monzo for 4 years now. I opened a savings account for my son (7yrs old) and got a card for him to use. He is learning how to use his money wisely and is now more aware saving. It was easy to set up and card delivery was fast. Reviewed on: 7th March 2026
