About this product

Monzo offer a free bank account for under 16s, with controls set by their parent or guardian.

Kids get their own neon card and can see their money in the Monzo app. Parents or Guardians can keep an eye on the account, set spending limits and schedule pocket money.

Amazing account for my 6 year old to learn financial...

Amazing account for my 6 year old to learn financial independence and earn pocket money. Love that you can add notes and choosing their own card colour is a nice touch. My daughter loves it and it motivates her to do jobs around the house to earn pocket money and she then enjoys using the contactless in shops to treat herself. Well done Monzo!! I have been with monzo for a number years and when I found out about there under 16s account I opened up 3 account for my children free of charge no monthly fees like go Henry they answer enquirys within 24 hours and refund you when you need to be refunded I have my 4 children on monzo and also my wife Reviewed on: 6th March 2026
