Monzo offer a free bank account for under 16s, with controls set by their parent or guardian.

Kids get their own neon card and can see their money in the Monzo app. Parents or Guardians can keep an eye on the account, set spending limits and schedule pocket money.

Monzo making accounts for kids simple

Logged into my account and within 15 minutes had opened up accounts for all 3 kids including saving pots. There are no fees and the kids have a simple but informative dashboard on their app Reviewed on: 9th February 2025
