Move to Challenger Banks!

I had a terrible experience with my traditional bank when I had my wallet stolen. I couldn't get any service from my previous bank and was left with no access to my funds. I opened an account with Monzo and straightaway I had a new digital card that I could use from the beginning. The sign-up process was so simple and their UI is really good. I love all the additional features too, like tracking spending categories and trends. Reviewed on: 23rd January 2026

The best banking app for staying in control

Monzo has completely changed how I manage my money. The app is incredibly intuitive and makes budgeting feel simple rather than stressful. I love being able to split my salary into different Pots for bills, savings, and spending – it’s helped me automate my finances and stay on top of my goals. The instant spending notifications and categorisation make it easy to see where my money is going, which has genuinely reduced impulsive spending. I also find Monzo great for everyday use and travel, with transparent fees and real-time balance updates. While it doesn’t have physical branches, the digital experience is so smooth that I’ve never missed them. Monzo has let me take control of my money.

Using Monzo has made it easy for me to see exactly where my money is going each month. Allocating my budget into pots, such as my food shop pot, let's me easily see how much I'm actually spending on each budget line as well as spending money directly from each pot through Apple Pay. The app is easy to use and customise and connects well with my other main bank account. Reviewed on: 23rd January 2026
