No Longer Trustworthy or Reliable

I switched to Monzo for full banking, drawn in by the promises of a modern, trustworthy service. In the past, I believed they were a forward-thinking bank that would protect me from fraud or mischarges. Unfortunately, Monzo has become nothing more than an unreliable shell of its former self. A recent incident made it abundantly clear just how far this bank has fallen. I was charged for a service I had cancelled, and despite my efforts to resolve it, I was met with an astonishing lack of accountability. After disputing the charge, the company involved sided with me but still provided no evidence to support the charge. Monzo, instead of standing by its customer, passed the responsibility off entirely and claimed it was too late to issue a refund—after promising me otherwise. I even raised a formal complaint, hoping that some semblance of professionalism would be restored, but was instead fobbed off with a generic, unhelpful response that only deepened my frustration. The total lack of competency and care from Monzo in dealing with my issue has shaken my trust in them entirely. At this point, it's clear that Monzo no longer values its customers or its reputation. Their customer service is a joke, their response times are abysmal, and their ability to handle basic banking issues has become non-existent. For a company that once touted itself as a safe alternative to traditional banks, I now question whether they even understand the core tenets of banking—transparency, accountability, and professionalism. There are far better options out there, and I encourage anyone considering Monzo to think twice. Their service has deteriorated so badly that it's no longer a viable option for anyone who values their money and time. Save yourself the hassle. Move elsewhere. Reviewed on: 17th February 2025

So easy to budget and manage my money

I love how I can manage pots via different virtual cards with Monza Extra. It helps me keep my accounts connected, I can see what budget I have for the month and spread out costs - making sure to track them as I go. The 2025 saving challenge is also such an easy way to save, I don't notice it coming out of my account! Reviewed on: 17th February 2025
