Great initial coverage but swift rise in premiums.

The coverage we got for our initial price was great , indeed the coverage still is good , but the premiums have risen steeply. Comparing similar products with at least as good coverage for a dog the age of ours and with no claims made, they are now notably cheaper. Reviewed on: 14th August 2016

my pet dachshund collapsed the week before Christmas, with a damaged back. It was devastating for the children and I to see him lying in the rain in the garden. He was rushed to the vet who recognised the seriousness of the issue and we had to take him to an emergency centre. His condition was critical and he was admitted in for urgent surgery. I had to phone MoreThan, in quite a state. I have to say, I was dealt with full compassion and told not to worry about a thing, just return the forms. Bruce, my dog, was in for a week following a major operation to save his spine. MoreThan took care of the whole thing, and paid the emergency centre within a week. I can't rate them highly enough. Huge increase in renewal premium despite no claims

Just received renewal terms from More Than and for our 2 labs (1 2 years old and the other a full sister but from the next years litter) the premium has increased by over £100 annually. No health problems or any reason to claim so will be looking elsewhere. Anyone else had high increase in renewals? It's getting like car insurance where the drive is always "new" business" and not loyalty. Reviewed on: 26th July 2016

I applyed for my cat (shes a older lady) and it was kinda tricky chosing which one was going to be best my excess is £50 I pay for her DD been with them around 3 years and its gone up alittle but I think for what she gets its good value and if I need to talk to a vet I can use their one even if its about my other cat who isnt on the policy. Fair and prompt in payment: Friendly & Helpful

The staff that I've spoken to each time I've had reason to contact More Than Pet Insurance have always been polite and friendly and on the ball. My claims to date have been dealt with quickly, and the premium was very competitive. I've been so impressed that I've swapped policies for another dog to be with them. Earlier this year when my darling old Jack Russell had to be PTS at the grand old age of 17 1/2 I felt the lady I spoke to was almost in tears herself, she was so sympathetic. I have never yet had a problem with the company paying out on claims, and my wee JRT had ongoing veterinary bills. Reviewed on: 28th March 2016

Only had the misfortune to claim once for my Molly but beginning to end very helpful

My girl had an 'altercation ' with another dig and needed vet treatment. More Than were very helpful and I spoke to one of their nurses who made me feel better as I was shocked by the incident. No quibble payment to vets considering she had not been insured a full month at this point. Reviewed on: 28th November 2015

Would highly recomend this pet insurance

One of our rescue Greyhounds was diagnosed with a Fibrosarcoma in February 2015. Our vet gave us a very poor prognosis and told us we would be lucky to have our boy by the end of the year. Due to us having insurance we asked for a specialist referral which was promptly done. The initial consultation fee to Glasgow Small Animal Hospital was going to cost £1,000.00. After a whole raft of tests, scans and x rays a treatment plan was recommended which entailed our boy Franco having to get a course of Radiotherapy over a 4 week period, 3 times per week. This was duly approved by our insurance company prior to treatment commencing. Once completed Franco had a follow up appointment and he was in remission with an expected lifespan of a further 5 years. We were so grateful, thankful and relieved that we could get the best possible treatment available to us and didn't have to worry about the cost. In total it would have been £5,500.00. A heartfelt thanks to The Small Animal Hospital Glasgow and Morethan insurance. We cherish our boy and look forward to spending the next 5 years with him Reviewed on: 27th November 2015

LARGE CLAIM SETTLED IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT ARGUMENT

My poor little dog had a difficult problem which my vet did not solve and then referred him to the Veterinary College where they did all the tests again. This was double horrible for my dog and doubly expensive for the insurance company but they paid both bills without any argument and it was all done directly with the vets and the college. They have put my premium up this year by £320 which I am not happy about but considering what they had to pay out I can't really complain and I am going to stay with them. COST OF INSURANCE AND CLAIM HANDLING

Bailey - Cocker Spaniel, now almost 2 years old. Fit and healthy. Insured first year with Kennel Club, saved £11 per month by going through Bought by Many with More Than. Bailey had a piece of grass stuck in his throat following a a gastric episode, which was not diagnosed by first vet. Second opinion with another vet who removed grass. More Than paid out both vet bills promptly, less excess. The only thing I would add is I will wait and see what next year's quote is. At the moment could not be more pleased with this company.
