A very friendly, considered and traditional service

Having built our house with, and then mortgaging with, Newbury Building Society we've found that over the last 8 years the service has been absolutely consistent. Consistently rubbish that is!! Only joking. It's nice to be able to speak directly to a human being and we've found them to always take a practical and pragmatic approach to mortgaging and remortgaging, rather than always doing everything by the book. The best way I could describe the service is to say that they're very traditional. Despite only ever speaking to them over the phone, it always felt like a very personal, face-to-face sort of service. We would thoroughly recommend. Reviewed on: 3rd February 2021

Over many years, I have used the Newbury for savings as well as mortgages. Any personal interaction within branch or on the phone has always been a model of polite, helpful, genuine customer service.
