Easy and Straightforward

My current remotgage arrangement was coming to an end and after waiting a few days for an appointment over the telephone with an advisor the white thing was renewed on better terms than I had before even after considering all the options and I could not find anything that would have been cheaper elsewhere. Seemingly lower interest rates would not have been cheaper after factoring in the arrangement and/or other fees. Reviewed on: 6th April 2020

Excellent customer service

The customer service is always excellent. I feel that we get personal good old fashioned service as it should be. The Newbury do not keep you on hold for ever, pass you from pillar to post and say they’ll call you back then don’t like other companies. Staff are friendly, efficient and professional. A Very Personal Service

Superb personal service

We wanted to repay a lump sum off our mortgage. Due to fear of scams we transferred some of the amount and then were able to check with mortgage adviser that amount had arrived with them. We were then able to transfer remainder with confidence and had acknowledgement of that payment from the adviser. Reviewed on: 27th March 2020

Friendly - speedy and good value. Super!

As our "deal" was coming to an end we got in tocuh and booked an appointment. We found a date to go in very quick and quickly reviewed the best way forward. The paperwork was light and quick and the decision very fast. Very happy with the new mortgage. Reviewed on: 27th March 2020

Always receive good customer service.

I have always received good customer service with Newbury Building Society and they are quick and efficient at resolving an issues when I contact them. Only marked them down one star for this review as most recent contact with them there was lots of crossed wires and a lack of clear communication between them and housing association regarding remortgaging my shared ownership property. A bit disorganized

Constantly lost files and delays all round but got there in the end. Just not pro-active as other lenders but hey ho at least it is all done now and pleased with the result Reviewed on: 22nd March 2020
