Professional, efficient and supportive

Provided informal advice from the outset allowing as to identify a budget and the financial implications of increasing our mortgage. Kept in contact and responded promptly to all requests, both from ourselves and other professionals. Dealt with us as a customer not a commodity. Pleasant experience

Friendly people, great rates!

We were looking for a RIO mortgage after our existing lender wouldn't extend our term after my early retirement (I sold my company). On our initial call with Eve McDowell, one of your Mortgage Advisers, we failed the strict RIO affordability checks (my state pension hasn't started yet) but Eve was quick to suggest a standard mortgage at a great rate. Eve kept us informed by email during the application process and helped answer any questions. We completed the remortgage in about six weeks and are now very happy Newbury customers. Simple and easy process to change to a new mortgage product.

I was coming to the end of my fixed term mortgage deal and wanted to arrange a new deal. I arranged a telephone interview to discuss options which took place at the allocated time and during the interview we went through my options. After making a decision all the paperwork was sent through as promised and the time taken to arrange was minimal with support easily accessible when required. Reviewed on: 17th December 2019

Not Just Box Ticking

Unlike a lot of lenders who have a tick box system Newbury Building Society look beyond this and treat each case individually. It certainly worked for my ‘not normal’ circumstances. Can’t thank Newbury Building Society enough. Reviewed on: 29th November 2019
