Mortgage lenders with a quality service

We have had mortgages with Newbury for many years now. They were recommended by our financial advisor as we were in an unusual situation, with a property rented out for a period and one of us working abroad. We have been delighted with the quality of the service: helpful advice from staff who are competent and friendly. Face to face meetings over videoconference, with follow-up emails and letters in a timely manner. Probably not the cheapest on the market, but we believe you get what you pay for, and Newbury have never disappointed us. Reviewed on: 30th May 2025

Cash Flow

We wanted more cash flow but our money is tied up in the house. So we asked to borrow a certain amount. Everything, was settled within a few weeks. The mortgage advisor and the mortgage underwriter were excellent. Reviewed on: 16th May 2025

I have used the Newbury BS for many years. They are a lender that has a common sense approach coupled with the ability to access the underwriter. Both of these help the client, to a smooth outcome. I’ve moved house three times and continued to use the Newbury Building Society. The super helpful and friendly team have always been very efficient, easy to get hold of and you feel like a person and not a number.
