Excellent service from our local Building Society

Despite the drawbacks of lockdown, we were able to make contact with the mortgage advisor easily to discuss our needs. Our mortgage offer was produced quickly and efficiently and the whole team speedily processed our request. The mortgage monies were promptly sent to our solicitor so that the completion could happen in the frantic and fraught times of the Stamp Duty holiday. Reviewed on: 2nd July 2021

Perfect for First time buyers and Shared ownership

Excellent service efficient friendly helpful

We had mortgages with Newbury Building Society since 1991 and paid our final one off early recently. NBS has always been exceptional which is why we stayed with them through several house moves. very efficient and fast with positive results

Not professional

Applied for mortgage for shared ownership property. Newbury refused after doing credit check after finding an adverse payment history. Turns out it was a debt that was settled 2 years ago in full. Disappointed that they wouldn't accept the reasoning for a small debt I went to a proper bank and got one a mortgage agreed a week later. Mickey mouse building society, I do not recommend their services after this experience. Reviewed on: 12th June 2021
