Prompt, Efficient, professional - What more could you ask for

Had a requirement for a further advance and from start to finish the process was absolutely seamless. Initial contact was responded to promptly; on the same day; with any further information required; over that provided; requested. Having submitted everything the paperwork was issued within 2 working days, documents signed and returned and we were put in funds within the week. Thank you! Reviewed on: 20th August 2021

Wokingham Office very efficient did become protracted afterwards

Started well at local office level But I had to chase up paperwork and Matt (underwriter) did help to complete the deal and it wasn't totally clear what we had to sign and do which meant we had to redo 2 forms and get witness signatures again which caused unnecessary delay in completion Reviewed on: 13th August 2021

Friendly, personal, customer service

Every interaction with Newbury feels personal. It feels as though you have a personal relationship with their mortgage team. And it feels as though your call really is important enough for them to take the trouble to try to help as much as they can. I would always recommend them over bigger, possibly better known brands. Rude and extremely poor customer service to an existing customer

Long story short. I have now transferred over a million pounds worth of property to another Building Society due to Newbury's sheer rudeness and contempt to me as their customer. Reviewed on: 6th August 2021

Simple and straightforward

I had arranged my original mortgage with The Newbury through a third party and to be honest I thought that the matter had taken quite a while to resolve. However my experience in applying directly for additional funds to complete the renovations to my property were completely opposite. The mortgage advisor could not have been more helpful and the whole process from start to finish took now time at all.
