Brilliant

Absolutely wonderful customer service. It’s nice to feel a valid part of an organisation. That is something that you do not get as much nowadays so it’s nice to see. I also appreciate the option to be able to speak to a staff member instead of an automated robot as every situation and request is unique. The society really understands that. Buy to let mortgage-straightforward

We are Brits currently living in France and retirement age wanting a property back in UK. This put off most lenders but not Newbury. The application process was straightforward and information needed easy to supply. This was made easier by direct communications with the underwriting team. Our application was quickly agreed and the survey completed quickly despite the busy market. Okay the fees and rates are a little high but I guess to be expected for our circumstance. The 3 year early repayment penalty does not reduce over that term which is a shame. Draw down of the mortgage was easy. Any contact with Newbury was always handled in a friendly and professional way. Little building society with a big heart

Newbury Building Society is a little gem since I discovered I was éligibilité to be a member from my location two years ago. They offer great interest rates and are improving their service all the time. During the pandemic their telephone customer advisers were always very helpful. Their new app to help view my account and transactions online is a step on the right direction. Reviewed on: 9th March 2021
