Really friendly, helpful staff and also easy to add funds by internet as well.

I met staff of Newbury Building Society at Abingdon Air Show and liked the sound of the account which I subsequently opened in branch. The service I received in branch was very good and the whole process was very smooth. Since then I have used internet access which again is very user-friendly (I'm not computer-savvy, so need simple systems!). Reviewed on: 4th January 2018

Rachel Hawkins is superb

Rachel offered to see me early as I had arrived a little early. Very warm and easy to talk to. She talked me through the offers available without selling any particular product to myself. I had tonnes of questions to which she addressed them all. The branch is lovely, smells new and just a beautiful space really Reviewed on: 6th January 2023

Quick and easy

I applied for the welcome to Newbury account recently and have been left most impressed. I was able to get the account opened easily and had online access within minutes. Fairly easy to open account but too early to ask if I would recommend NB Society to friends/family.

Generally straight forward but unusual in requiring to open and read several long documents before allowing to continue with application. Information on making initial deposit could have been clearer and provided earlier in process. Reviewed on: 6th January 2023

Faster Payments

Faster payments seem to take a long time to reach my account. The first faster payment took over 5 hours which worried me that I had put in the wrong details. I would have appreciated a warning about this. Reviewed on: 6th January 2023

Opening Savings Accounts

Booking an appointment over the phone was straight forward and opening an account was quick and easy. Hazel the customer service advisor was friendly and explained what was needed about the accounts I was interested in and other information about the building society. Reviewed on: 4th January 2023
