Really friendly, helpful staff and also easy to add funds by internet as well.

I met staff of Newbury Building Society at Abingdon Air Show and liked the sound of the account which I subsequently opened in branch. The service I received in branch was very good and the whole process was very smooth. Since then I have used internet access which again is very user-friendly (I'm not computer-savvy, so need simple systems!). Reviewed on: 4th January 2018

An ordinary small Building Society

Could not understand why the question was asked of me whether I was a notable person or knew of a notable person. Accounts with new providers have been opened immediately could not understand the few days it took to open this account especially as I was an existing saver. Nothing to make your society special also why the very low maximum amount to invest in this account not too sure now if I should have opened this account if I wanted to save a reasonable amount with a competitive interest rate. I was adding funds to an existing account and opening a new ISA . Took far less time than I expected, plus confirmation and passbook for the new ISA arrived in the post next day. Reviewed on: 29th April 2022

Registering for myaccounts

I experienced a few problems whilst registering and then accessing the account, e.g. with my password. However, when I phoned the helpline for assistance I was helped politely and quickly. Very pleased. Reviewed on: 29th April 2022
