Really friendly, helpful staff and also easy to add funds by internet as well.

I met staff of Newbury Building Society at Abingdon Air Show and liked the sound of the account which I subsequently opened in branch. The service I received in branch was very good and the whole process was very smooth. Since then I have used internet access which again is very user-friendly (I'm not computer-savvy, so need simple systems!). Reviewed on: 4th January 2018

Great rate and easy to set up savings

I am already a mortgage customer and have had good experiences so looked to Newbury to set up a new savings account. The rate was good (better than a lot of other places I researched) and it was an easy system to set it up online Reviewed on: 17th April 2020

Excellent Service

I was looking for additional interest for money currently sitting earning no interest in my account with another Bank together with having security beyond their Financial Services Compensation Scheme. The Manager at my Newbury Basingstoke Branch, although having to carry out the discussion by phone because of the Social Distancing Regulations, was very helpful & was able to anwer all my questions & pointed out additional accounts which although at the time I did not currently require will look into when the present situation improves. A seamless transaction was carried out by post. Very impressed with the assistance I look forward to doing future business in person when posible to do so. Reviewed on: 9th April 2020

User friendly

In a world of big banks I feel that the Newbury Building Society manages to convey a feel of a smaller, friendlier, organisation. Opening the new account is easy and there are a good selection of accounts. I suppose the only downside is only being able to save up to £2,000 per year in the loyalty account. A quite outstanding organisation

I have had a number of communications from the team in the Mortgage Department and the Savings Department. First time customer

My husband and I opened a Welcome Acount and he also opened a Senior Saver. This had to be done by post to avoid close contact during the current virus crisis. Newbury have been extraordinarily helpful answering about 4 calls I have made and always been able to fully answer my queries. In these days of remote call centres an messages to 'go on line' this level of customer service is a delight to experience. I am so impressed with Newbury. Reviewed on: 23rd March 2020
