Prompt, informative and friendly service

It was easy to book an appointment in branch and I was given comprehensive advice about the savings options available to me. Opening my chosen accounts was straightforward and the customer service was excellent. Reviewed on: 13th March 2020

MONEY LAUNDERING CHECK

Rather obtuse, unintelligent approach to the above. Unable / unwilling to verify personal deatials to allow a new account to be opened, despite my being an existing customer where these details had been verified previously and used consistently by the Society for years. Quick while I waited phone call to HQ and its datbase access could have resolved. Live 120 miles from Newbury - not at all impressed. Matter resolved subsequently by post (following telephone complaint), but left a sour taste. Procedures need amending and disseminating to all staff. Reviewed on: 13th March 2020

Professional, easy understanding, listened

I recently opened a savings account, I required a way of saving money in a book instead of online. The advisor showed all accounts available as and also listened to what I was looking for and why, the recommended product was exactly what I required. Newbury gives a personal, friendly service which I will/have be recommending to others. Reviewed on: 7th March 2020

Good experience in Winchester branch

Needed our pass books updated and wanted to open 2 new EMA accounts. The staff were very helpful, especially Subashini, who guided us through the application forms and managed to issue the new pass books that same day. Reviewed on: 6th March 2020

Great rates, quick and good customer servoce

Opened up an account a year ago and have just transferred to another account. A couple of hoppus to jump through the the website isn't as slick as it could be, but great customer service from the team that helped me get to where I needed. Newbury Building Society is Tops, obviously!

Newbury Building Society must interview and train their staff very thoroughly, which was evident on our recent visit to set up an account in Hungerford. Excellent customer service

I emailed to contact someone as I couldn’t open the account I wanted on line. I received a prompt reply and the customer service advisor sent the paperwork I needed. This was followed up with a personal letter with the passbooks. I thought the whole experience was very prompt and personal. Reviewed on: 28th February 2020
