1st Class - we couldn't have asked for more

My husband and I called in to our local Andover Branch as potential new customers, having recently moved to the area. We opened a savings account each without any fuss or bother. It took about 30 minutes and Charlotte Couch handled the process in a friendly, courteous and professional way, explaining everything we needed to know about the society and its products. We left very impressed with the building society and the branch and have every intention of investing our savings in more products and look forward to being Newbury Building Society customers for many years to come. We wanted to revisit our savings accounts one year on from opening them. Will did an outstanding job in both understanding our circumstances and optimizing our interest earning opportunities for the year ahead, while also keeping us entertained with anecdotes while the accounts were being updated, Great job Will (Winchester Branch)! Online account

Opening and viewing the account online was a little bit fraught because I couldn't distinguish between an oh and a zero on the verification code . However Newbury were very helpful and it is all sorted now Reviewed on: 27th November 2019

Not very impressed at the moment

I am unable to log in to my account. It simply says some of your details are incorrect. I don't think they are incorrect because I managed to log in successfully a few days ago. I have requested an email so I can change my password (if that is the problem) but after several attempts no email has arrived. Your office isn't open until Monday morning so I cant even phone you until then. Reviewed on: 23rd November 2019

Way too difficult

Opening an online account is just so laborious and off putting, you have to be very determined to keep going. It’s almost a case of ‘how could you make it any more difficult’ Reviewed on: 22nd November 2019

Great product range

I visited the Newbury Building Society following recommendation from a friend. I obtained a savings account leaflet and went to my local branch to discuss my requirements. I was seen straight away by a very knowledgeable and friendly lady and was able to take out the savings account I chose with ease. They have a large product range to suit different financial circumstances and the account I took out has a very good interest rate. Transactions via the internet and in branch are very easy to do and I have been dealt with by professional and friendly staff. Reviewed on: 22nd November 2019

Had help time and time again
