With draw funds into a cheque

With my existing account the limit was £3.000 and needed to deposit an other £3.000 in cash, so was advised to open another account, that was done and new pass book, was sent to my home, when back and then received my cheque to give to my solicitor, all when we'll and on time. Simple process, mostly very clear and efficient

The online application process was mostly simple and clear. The process asks for the account to have interest paid to, and then states that this is the account that the opening balance will be taken from. So I aborted the application, moved the money to the saved into my current account and then re-applied. The application was fine and I received emails and letters confirming that the account was open. But no money was transferred from my nominated account. After checking with support via the website I was told this did not happen automatically and I had to do a manual transfer (which I did). The clarity of the website wording on application needs to be reviewed. Other than that, highly recommended. Reviewed on: 28th June 2019

My latest transaction was just to transfer some cash to a bank account last evening. It did not go through immediately but has transferred this morning.

Nice and friendly

Quite easy to open an account, though the forms are not as clear as they could be (good communications though). It is a little irritating if using the chrome browser in that chrome thinks that the passcode characters are saveable passwords. Reviewed on: 27th June 2019

Great customer service

I popped in to speak to a member of staff about opening up a savings account and I had managed to actually open one on the same day. I had been expecting to have to go home and get some more information for them but they didn’t need all the jargon that I thought they would need. Super happy with the service in the Thatcham branch. Friendly and efficient

Not quite there yet

NBS are obviously trying to come to terms with real 'customer service' but the little things, that may not seem important to some but are to others tend to be missing or off the mark. For example when I rang up to make an appointment to open an ISA with them the receptionist and I agreed a time but she offered no information about what I would need to bring with me, I suggested a passport, which prompted her to tell me to also bring my driving licence, she failed to mention, completely, that I would require my NI number - shoddy. On receiving my pass book and welcome letter I looked for a place for feedback on-line and found a section in the welcome letter telling me to go to smp.reviews/newburysavings2 which I di, only to find that the page does not exist and cannot be found on line, after searching through other parts of their site I came across this area BY CHANCE. These two examples may seem small but if you are striving for perfection then you need to get the little things right because, to many, they do make the difference between being good and very good Reviewed on: 13th June 2019
