PayPal does it all, even peace of mind!

Using PayPal when making purchases gives me peace of mind. I have had various reasons to contact them whenever issues arise. One of the most recent times was when I ordered a TV antenna advertised for £31 but only realised after checkout that I had been charged over £50. They had included extras that I did not order. I immediately emailed them asking to cancel the order. However, they did not reply and after several weeks the antenna arrived which did not even work and no extras were in the box. After a month of no replies from them I contacted PayPal for a callback which came almost immediately. PayPal customer service are very personable and understanding and assured me that they would solve the problem and get me my refund which was a huge relief as I felt I was effectively conned by the company so to me at this stage it wasn't even about the money in and of itself it was more about being scammed and goodness knows how many others. Needless to say, PayPal tracked them down and ensured I received my full refund. I have also had need to call them when difficulties arose with buyers on ebay. Once again PayPal helped me solve the issues over the phone while also explaining how to avoid certain issues if they arose again and they reassured me that they were only a phone call away. I love using their pay-in-3 scheme which allows making purchases easier by paying in 3 stages over 3 months. If I had to return items PayPal are very quick to refund any payments made. Finally something that I make regular use of is PayPals buy now pay later. This service has been invaluable to me when I make larger purchases for example a washing machine or a corner suite etc as you have 4 months in which to payoff the total amount and payments can be made as and when you can and both these services are interest free. What's not to love? I tell people all the time to try PayPals services as they are an exemplary company. Reviewed on: 26th May 2025
