Best pet insurance provider

I have an adult pet cat and a puppy of 10 months. Not only do pet plan keep me up to date on any insurance claims. They also provide a quick turnaround giving me price of mind that I can care for my animals health. Pet plan also send out monthly news letters that are extremely informative and give good tips on caring for your pet. I would highly recommend them as a top pet insurer. Reviewed on: 12th August 2020

Simple & pain free

Thank heavens for Pet Plan

Our cat developed Patella Luxation (dislocating kneecap) which was very painful for her, she had surgery to correct it, but then this went wrong when she escaped from the house while recovering and was chased by a dog causing more damage to the knee and resulting in further surgery. Petplan were there for us at every stage and have paid all vets bills immediately and with no problems, leaving us with one less worry while we try to help Missy in her recovery and eventual return to her active and happy life. I have used Pet Plan for 25 years and have rarely needed to claim until recently. I now have 2 dogs who unfortunately have health problems and Pet Plan have come up trumps, dealing directly with my vet and taking care of the costs. I would totally recommend them, don’t use the cheapest use the best, it pays dividends in the end. Reviewed on: 12th August 2020

Excellent Claim Process and Assistance

I have been with Petplan for 7 years, insuring my pet Labrador, Hugo. Hugo has a skin condition which requires him to take daily medication, which will be lifelong. Fortunately this is covered either my policy and Petplan turn round the claim with a few working days, meaning I am not too long out of pocket. They keep me updated with the progress of the claim and very easy to deal with. Reviewed on: 12th August 2020

Simply the best

I used another company who I had to take to the Ombudsman twice to get paid on valid claims. I have a new cat and now use Petplan. My cat developed diabetes and Petplan has covered all treatment (bar excess) usually within a week of submitting claims. Excellent service and I recommend them at every opportunity. My Stafford has quite I'll twice and I had no problem with them paying the vet. One problem was a ulcer on her eye and pet plan are the only one that insures you. Excellent news for us really good service. Reviewed on: 12th August 2020

Good for first year then expect huge increases

Huge increase in pricing after first year. Try to claim that a sprained paw in a cat was a chronic issue. A sprain is an acute injury that resolves. Doesnt mean a chronic issue and never allow further treatment to a separate issue in that area Reviewed on: 12th August 2020
