Absolutely awful non existent customer service

1
I opened a pocket account in October last year, transferred £200. This took a few weeks to reach the pockit card for some reason. I was unable to get hold of anyone at pockit and when I did they were extremely rude and unhelpful. Still trying to resolve this issue. Reviewed on: 26th April 2017

Avoid Pockit please!

Pockit do not deserve a single star, they nearly ruined my cousins life, issue with money going into the wrong account but money was not refunded and he couldn't pay his rent. Its been going on for 3 months and Pockit keeps coming up with all sort of ridiculous stories, can someone please advise on who we can report to please! Reviewed on: 21st April 2017

Missing funds

Initially, for a couple of years, I was delighted with this card. Topped up £20-40 each month by direct debit. Then, this winter, they started charging to top up this way and insisted it had to be via bank transfer to stay free. First bank transfer smooth. The 2nd went missing. Taken from my bank but not in Pockit account even 15 days later. Customer services via email are SHOCKINGLY bad. I would now recommend AGAINST taking out this card, from previously being happy with it Reviewed on: 5th April 2017

Avoid - disturbing developments

I have had my pockit card for about 3 years and it was just used as a lunch card, I'd top up about £30 a month so always had something in my work wallet. No problems apart from the slow clearing of funds but then last month my BAC transfer went missing. Same bank account and details as per all my other loads. First, I was told system error, then funds are in account but not showing on statement, tried using card but rejected. I've sent them proof of payment but now they want my bank account details, they're not having that for £30! I find it very suspicious that they can't find the payment and the fault is clearly theirs. Fortunately, I've just missed out on a few lunches but anybody thinking of getting a pockit card or uploading a lot of money should urgently reconsider. Reviewed on: 24th March 2017

Avoid

I've had this card since October, but have only recently decided to try and load it from my debit card without success. I sent my verification documents to Pockit in October, but apparently the documents are still being processed! I have tried to contact them by email twice (no response four days later) and phone several times and am now fed up with trying to get in touch. This is truly a terrible company and I'm glad I found out before I parted with any of my hard earned money. Reviewed on: 20th March 2017

Avoid like the plague!

I wish I had known about this website before I applied for this card. If I had I would never have applied. From beginning to end, it has been a nightmare. I did a bank transfer on 11/2/17. As of today (27/2/17) my money has still not been credited to my account. I phoned Customer Services and was advised that the money was in my account and that if I went to an ATM I could check my balance. I would do this is only I could obtain a pin number! Their website is atrocious. I had problems activating my card, problems loading money, problems getting a pin number and now problems with my cash not showing on my account. I have now written a formal letter of complaint requesting that they close my account and refund the balance to me. I have advised that if they do not I will report them to the Financial Ombudsman. I have also threatened to write to the Mail on Sunday which has a journalist who investigates financial problems such as this. Altogether this has been a nightmare experience. Atrocious web management & IT glitches

This was supposed to be a straightforward and a simple system. Pay money it - see it arrive in the account, make payment, see the transaction... and so on. For SEVERAL weeks now it has NOT been possible to see the transactions - Repeated emails and complaints have made no difference. Why can they not fix this simple glitch?? Why is this important? Because I am allowing a young person to manage their funds and keeping an eye of their expenditure.... After all that is what this card is for - Is it not? Reviewed on: 23rd February 2017

Great prepaid card

Pockit is a great prepaid MasterCard with low fees, no dormancy charges and generous Cashback at many stores such as Halfords, M&S, ToysRus, B&Q, Zizzi, etc. Their new cards now also have contactless functionality. Reviewed on: 12th February 2017

excellent payment system

I put money on my Pockit card by bank transfer so no fees with pockit whatsoever. Money going on card can be a little slow at times but usually within a day. No problems using it and if it does get cloned the money on the card is all that can be taken. If you lose the card you can go on line and block it straight away then if you find it again you can log in and unblock it no problems. It is a mastercard so can be used virtually anywhere thus I don't use my bank debit card just this one. No big bills just load it and pay as you go. Customer services are fine but best to call at offpeak times Reviewed on: 9th February 2017
