Had to ring bk and wait and wait go through to a nice lady who said there system was down. Which is annoying as it pointed you to the we'd site only which didn't work! Booked my car in told that one of two things could happen either they send out a local tyre guy charging 3 times the value of the tyre or they tow me. I said don't you change tyres so wasn't hopeful. Gets a phone call 30 mins later l can send a guy with a tyre at a cost of just under 200 now or you can wait till 9.30pm I'm a disabled lady can't wall far and my car was in a secluded spot and l felt vunrable with all the stress my asthma kicked off and l was in a lot of pain as l was very cold. My phone battery was dying after trying for nearly an hour to get through. I'vI'had an update its now 9.40 till 11pm thats priority from 4.30pm Ive come across a forum on Facebook and the comments of customers experiance are utterly appalling! I had the policy for around 5 months when I had to change my vehicle, only to be told that I couldn't do that. I only had two options, get a new quote for another years insurance or cancel - due to the quote being ridiculously expensive i.e. 3 times what I was quoted from price comparison website - I had no option but to cancel - fine, it is what it is. The kicker though is that I entered the policy with 15 years NCD but received only 9 years back due to the fact that their system can only handle single digits (seriously in this day and age), I've been onto customer service, virtual assistants and emailing only to be told they won't honour my NCD because I've cancelled my policy - when else would you need proof of no claims. Absolutely appalling company and in all my years of getting car insurance I had never dealt with such shocking service. Do yourself a favour and avoid this company at all costs. Read more Read less

Luckily I wasn't injured, and the vehicle was OK, but I'd burst two tyres and became stranded at the roadside. I called the RAC, naturally, as I had full nationwide recovery with unlimited callouts. In my dismay, the call centre agent, who clearly couldn't care less and sounded like he'd rather have been at home, told me my situation was technically an accident rather than a breakdown. I'm not covered, should have read the small print, too bad. If I want recovered it'll be £218 or contact your insurance. So I contacted my insurance, who put me through to their breakdown team. Guess who they were? That's right. Two hundred quid please. So thanks to the RAC who, despite 15 years of membership, let me down when I needed them, to the tune of 200 quid. Read more Read less

After leaving me, a solo female traveller, alone for 5 hours, without access to a bathroom or sanitation, they then said they don’t have enough tow trucks and the earliest my car could be collected would be 5am. I had to leave my car key with the local petrol station, and make my own onward journey. My car only arrived at its designated destination two days later. When I found the RAC and asked where my car was during this time, they were unable to tell me. They said it was with a trusted provider and was either in Milton Keynes or Northampton. To this day, they still are unable to tell me where they stored my car. Their customer service team ignored my messages, and then said they would uphold the complaint but offer no compensation.
