Card renewal - bad practice

2 male operatives didn't give the correct information and the female operative tried her best but her boss has not deemed my complaint important enough to get back to me. I received a letter from Saga stating my credit card had expired and to ring them with new details. On giving the details of my card, immediate payment for my car insurance was taken from my bank account.At no time was I told this would happen and no one would cancel the payment which was not due for 3 another 3weeks. I was told to cancel it through my bank .They told me the payment was ",pending "so it couldn't be done and to go back to Saga. This practice should be made clear in their letter or by the operative before taking my card details. It has caused me financial embarrassment and disappointment as well 2hrs on the phone trying to deal with this..I will not be renewing my insurance with Saga next year for sure Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

Please avoid Saga insurance.

I canceled my insurance online and also via chat and even phoned *** but still auto renewed my insurance. Its fraud i informed. *** wanted me to provide details of my new insurer. I told them *** as its confidential and also i wanted to sell my car as it was to expensive to run. Avoid these *** for your own peace of mind. The bank got me money back which saga insurance took by fraudulent means. Reviewed on: 12th November 2022

If I could give zero stars I would. This is the worst car insurance company that I have had the misfortune to deal with. I made a non-fault claim in May 2022. Saga failed to obtain the liability from the other insurer resulting in me having to pay my excess for the repairs! They lost evidence sent to them. They seem to ignore the fact I had a police car right behind me who provided me with all the details I needed for my claim. I have not been kept updated from Saga, despite their boasts that they do. Saga have appeared to just not care. I have formally complained to them and have now referred the matter to the Financial Ombudsman (as instructed by their own complaints handler!) stay clear , i wish i had i read the reviews and still went with then never again, it said breakdown cover on my insurance what was on the website but when it came they said it wasnt included although it was advertised, i rang and ask the manager to ring me after a week no call so i rang and spoke to someone called haley she assured me she would sort it and ring me back on the monday still waiting nearly a week later they have no intentions on ringing back . there a con , i wish everyone would stop using these companys and they go bust. Very poor

My car was hit whilst parked and the third party has admitted fault. 4 and a half months later I'm still without my car and everytime I ring I'm messed around and told to contact IMSolutions or enterprise. This is very bad for peoples mental health, taking hours to get through on the phone to absolutely no where. Frustrated is an understatement. Reviewed on: 10th October 2022

Managed my own claim

Had my catalytic converter stolen. SAGA were unable to find anyone to repair my car which wasted over 2 months. I had to find a specialist to quote for repair. SAGA disputed costs and used a 3rd party to provide an unrealistic estimate. I complained of poor service and won compensation. After over 3 months I shipped the car to a repairer. A consequence of delays was additional damage (locked brakes) which eventually SAGA agreed to pay for. Car off the road for 130 days. Appalling service. Reviewed on: 7th October 2022

Avoid SAGA car insurance. Better still avoid all SAGA products

My car was hit while parked, over 6 weeks ago. The person who hit it accepted responsibility, his insurer was happy to pay out. (they called me a few days after the accident!) My own insurer, SAGA, has done very little, failed completely to keep me informed and take forever to answer their telephones. Today the garage advised me that they had received authority to repair my car a few days ago. News to me. Tomorrow I go away on holiday, it will be without my car. I am not pleased. The worst service you can imagine

A straight forward claim, third party accepted liability, SAGA never respond and only put you onto another department, who do not help at all, six weeks now without a settlement. They are actually affecting the mental health of innocent people. Reviewed on: 5th October 2022

The worst EVER insurance company.Ever...

Had a lady hit the back/side of my car. Said it was all her fault and not mine. A truck driver saw the whole thing and said he was happy to be a witness. He had 4 cameras on his truck to back this all up. Simple insurance claim, yes? NO. 6 Weeks later and after me making 17 phone calls, I am still waiting for this sorry mess to be sorted out. I still have a broken car on my drive. It still leaks water every time it rains. I have had no courtesy car and no money. I paid for Fully Comp insurance in full and have had nothing in return apart from heartache. Don't go with these fools. Spend the extra few quid and go with another company.
